Melody Makers has become a popular Chaparral program that allows children of all ability levels to perform in a choir. Melody Makers provides Chaparral students with an extra outlet for singing and performing as a group and individually. There are no try-outs to participate in Melody Makers, and any child (in grades K through 5) with a love of music is welcome. The Melody Makers strive to perform two concerts a year for family and friends.
Research has shown that learning music enhances learning in other academic areas. And, music is fun! A future world without music and musicians would be lacking an important element. Imagine your favorite movie with no music or the last wedding or social event that you attended without songs!
